Q: What are the requirements to register for the event?
A: In order to participate, you must create a team of four and all team members must be at least 18 years of age to participate.
Q: How do you register for the event?
A: Your team can register for the event on the Capital One Race for Kids™ website under Get Involved. When registering your team, you will be asked to select a city.
Q: Once you register your team, can you change your team members if necessary?
A: Yes, once the team leader registers the team, he/she will be given a login and details. The team members can be changed up until the race date.
Q: I would like to run the race but am unable to form a team of four. How do I find more members?
A: Participants without a full team will be directed to a Facebook group through a link on the Registration page. This group will be open to the general public and will allow participants to find additional team members.
Q: What if, by the day of the race, our team has less than fourmembers?
A: The Checkpoint activities are recommended for a team of four, but your team can still participate in the race. However, only a complete team (four members) is eligible to win prizes.
Q: How much does the race cost?
A: Teams will pay a $40 registration fee ($10/participant) and will need to fundraise a minimum of $360 to take part in the race.
Q: I can no longer participate. Can the registration fee be refunded?
A: A full refund of the registration fee ($10) will be provided up to 30 days prior to the event. No refunds will be offered within 30 days of the event. None of the fundraised dollars can be refunded.
Q: What if my team is unable to meet its minimum fundraising goal of $360?
A: You will be allowed to participate in the race, but will be ineligible to win a prize. Funds can be raised up until 24 hours prior to the start time on Race Day.
Q: What do I get for registering?
A: Upon registering for the Capital One Race for Kids™, you will receive the following:
  • Capital One Race for Kids™ backpack, numbered bibs, 1 race sheet and map, water bottles, and light snack
  • Access to the Capital One Race for Kids™ Celebration
  • The experience of a lifetime and memories to share with your team for years to come - priceless!
